Pigeons coordinate their destination according to the roads

Zoologists from Britain, after extensive observations, concluded that pigeons find their way along roads and railway lines. The ten year survey, conducted by the University of Oxford, have revealed that many pigeons turn at certain intersections and also use diacritical marks to remember where they are.

Nevertheless their ability to coordinate their destination according to the position of the sun is not lost, however they tend to base their coordination on the streets beneath then when flying over unfamiliar areas.
