St. Nicholas Church, Kaisariani

St. Nicholas Church is the Metropolitan Church of Kaisariani. It was the first community to be formed in the area of Kaisariani in 1924 in order to cater for the refugees who moved to Athens after the Minor Asia Catastrophe and the Greek-Turkish war. It is a prominent Church within the Athens area, reminding the local population of the Byzantine and Orthodox heritage which still prevails to this day in Greece.
