The Church of the Entry of the Mother of God into the Temple, Rhodes Island - Greece

The city of Rhodes is a place where Christianity meets Islam. Churches are next to Mosques, whilst Catholic churches exist next to Orthodox churches. Walking around the city of Rhodes, hidden between modern buildings and shops is the Church of the Entry of the Mother of God into the Temple (Neohorio). This small church was built in 1719 AD and it is a good example of a Basilica according to the Dodecanese Architectural Type. This Church celebrates on the 21st November (the Feast of the Entry of the Mother of God into the Temple) and on the 14th of November, since the Church celebrates the Saint of the city of Rhodes, i.e. the Neo-martyr Constanine the Hydraios.
