The first lighthouse to use an electric light

Walking the beautiful path at the magical White Cliffs, in Dover, South-East England, one comes across a white lighthouse. A landmark of the White Cliffs; this Victorian lighthouse was built to warn mariners of shifting sands and guide them through the Strait of Dover. A place of innovation and science, the lighthouse was the first to display an electric light anywhere in the world. On a clear day one can see the French coast and the routes the ship take between England and France.
