All Saints Orthodox Church - Patriarchal Stavropegic Monastery of St. John the Baptist

The Patriarchal Stavropegic Monastery of St John the Baptist, in Essex (England), has two Churches. The Katholikon, i.e. the main church, is dedicated to St Silouan. The second church is dedicated to All Saints, who the Orthodox Church celebrate today. Following the monastic tradition, it has a large wall painted icon which depicts the Second Coming of the Son of God and the Last Judgement. Another significant fact is that the icons on all the walls of the interior of the Church are adorned by inscriptions in many languages, showing a unity between all Orthodox faithful who come from various backgrounds.
