The Church with Buckle, Cappadocia

The Church with Buckle, also known as Tokali Church, is located in Soganli Valley, Cappadocia. It is located up a steep, slippery, much eroded stairway, cut into the rock. It is probably the most dangerous climb, in respect to the other churches in Cappadocia. This Orthodox Church was built in the 10th century AD. Not many icons survive in this Church; nevertheless, it does combine icons and designs. Another feature, evident in many Churches in Cappadocia, is that it has a number of graves, within the main part of the Church building.
