Chernobyl Now

We all know what happened to the Ukrainian city Chernobyl on the 26th of April 1986. It was considered a nuclear accident of catastrophic proportions. It is the worst nuclear power plant accident in history.
Once a lively place to live, nowadays this little town is completely deserted after the horrible disaster.  What many people do not know is that even after the nuclear disaster Ukraine continued to operate the remaining reactors, until 2000, when the last reactor was closed down.
Now all one can see is shown in these pictures..
Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus have been burdened with the continuing and substantial decontamination and health care costs of the Chernobyl accident. Although radiation was thought of reaching many Balkan states, as South as Northern Greece and Turkey.
