The Fontana Del Biancone is a
scenic sculptural group which was carried out between 1563 and 1575, located in
Piazza Della Singioria, Florence. The powerful figure of Neptune stands out in
the centre of this fountain, created by Ammannati. This sculpture was most
probably inspired by a drawing of Leonardo. The bronze statues represent the
River Allegories of satyrs and nymphs.
