English Liturgies

Orthodoxy in the West is increasing rapidly, where converts are constantly introduced to this ancient Church. This creates new issues but also opportunities for the furtherance of the development of the Orthodox Church, worldwide. One feature evident now in the Archdiocese of Thyateira and Great Britain, which is under the jurisdiction of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and caters mainly for the Greek population in the UK (however, people from all around the Orthodox World practice their faith in the Churches under the Thyateira jurisdiction, which is the largest Orthodox Archdiocese in the British Isles) is the fact that English Liturgies are celebrated in many Churches around the country.

London:

- Every first Saturday of the month, at 10.30am, at the Cathedral of the Div. Wisdom

- Every last Saturday of the month, at 10.30am (except where this co-incides with the programme of services in Greek), at the Cathedral of All Saints

- Every Saturday, at 9.30-10.30am, at the Church of the Twelve Apostles

- One Saturday of the month, at the Church of St. Demetrios

- Last Saturday of the month, at the Church of St. Nectarius

- Every first Saturday of the month, at 10.00am, at the Church of St. Anthony the Great & St. John the Baptist  

- Every first Saturday of the month, at 10.30am, at the Church of St. Catherine

Aberdeen: Every first and third Saturday of the month, at 10.00am

Bath: Every Sunday, at 10.30am

Bristol: Every Sunday, at 10.30am

Chester: Every Sunday, at 11.00am

Cornwall: Three Sundays of the month, at 9.30am

Dundee: Every fourth Saturday of the month, at 11.00am

Edinburgh: Every Sunday, at 9.00am

Falmouth: Every Sunday, at 10.30am

Lampeter: Every Sunday, at 9.30am

Leeds: Every second Saturday of the month, at 08.00-10.45am

Leyland:  Every Sunday, at 11.00am

Rugby:  Every Sunday, at 10.00am

Shrewsbury: Every Sunday, at 10.30am. Vespers & Matins every Saturday at 6pm
