Durrell’s Bosketo

Durell’s Bosketo is a garden found in the historical city of Corfu, located next to the entrance of the Old Fortress. Smothered in plants and flowers, contains busts and statues of writers and philhellenes who lived on the island, two small cisterns with goldfish, stone pavilions for rest and playground for children.

Under Lawrence Durrell’s statue the visitor reads: ‘Greece is the country that offers you the discovery of yourself…’ whilst under Gerald Durrell’s statue we read: ‘Corfu, the garden of the Gods…’
